On Monday, it was announced that the Dodgers acquired right-handed reliever Jesus Liranzo from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for left-handed reliever Luis Ysla. The Dodgers had acquired Ysla for cash considerations in 2017 from the Boston Red Sox. Ysla posted an ERA over six with the Tulsa Drillers last season.
This is the second trade in two days for Andrew Friedman and Farhan Zaidi as they traded for Breyvic Valera on Easter Sunday. In Liranzo the Dodgers get a hard-throwing reliever who just turned twenty-three years old at the beginning of March. Liranzo spent last season with the Bowie Baysox and put up a disappointing 4.
