The Dodgers have lost out on infielder Travis Blankenhorn this week. Los Angeles placed him on waivers earlier this week when they added right-handed pitcher Nate Jones to the roster before the Giants series.
Blankenhorn was claimed off of waivers from the Minnesota Twins earlier this month to add to their depth. The recent signings of Albert Pujols and Yoshi Tsutsugo sort of made him an uneccesary addition to the 40-man roster. As a result, he was designated for assignment.
Blankenhorn appeared in just 3 games for the Oklahoma City Dodgers at the Triple-A level.
