Dodgers: Los Angeles Lakers Hold a Moment of Silence for Tommy Lasorda

There are few names that are more recognizable in the city of Los Angeles than that of Tommy Lasorda. The legendary Dodgers manager spent over 70 years with the organization, winning 2 World Series and creating countless memories for generations of fans.

With the announcement of Tommy’s passing on Thursday evening, the city of Los Angeles did everything they could to honor the late manager. City Hall and Staples Center were both lit up in blue colors, with Dodger Stadium lit up all night to display his number 2 painted in centerfield.

Prior to the Lakers tipoff against the Chicago Bulls on Friday evening, the two teams held a moment of silence for Tommy.
