The only personnel in baseball changing teams right now are the coaches. On Tuesday, former Dodgers third baseman Dave Hansen agreed to join the Cincinnati Reds as the minor league hitting coordinator.
The Rowland Heights HS alumni was drafted by the Dodgers in the second round of the 1986 draft. Hansen spent 11 of his first 12 big league seasons as a Dodger. He recorded a .362 average in his 1993 campaign. In 884 games with the Dodgers, Hansen slashed .262/.357/.372.
He enjoyed a 15-year career in MLB that also included time with the Cubs, Mariners, and Padres.
