While no major free agent signings have occurred so far during the offseason, many rumors are beginning to swirl around Los Angeles. This time, the Dodgers are linked with shortstop Marcus Semien, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN.
Semien is the second Athletics player the Dodgers have been connected to behind former Oakland reliever Liam Hendriks. The 30-year-old Semien struggled this season—perhaps declining his value—but the fact he finished third in American League MVP voting in 2019 could still carry some relative weight.
Surely, the majority of Dodger fans are asking why would they even pursue Semien when you have Corey Seager.
