LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers, amid their longest home losing streak since May 2013, are looking to snap the five-game skid with a little levity.
Written on their white board in the Dodger Stadium clubhouse a few hours before Saturday night’s game agains the San Diego Padres read, "Winning baseball games is the ONLY thing that matters! — Gandhi," a quote that may or may not have been accurately attributed to the influential early 20th century Indian leader who advocated nonviolence as the country sought independence from Great Britain.
"Gandhi was a very wise, a very selfless man," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said, smiling.
