SAN DIEGO -- Reliever Chin-Hui Tsao made it to San Diego after all.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts had indicated the Dodgers would go back to a 12-man pitching staff -- and a five-man bench -- once they got through their interleague series with the Angels on Thursday.
But after watching three of the past four starting pitchers (Kenta Maeda, Mike Bolsinger and Ross Stripling) fail to complete five innings and Tsao throw a 1-2-3 inning on Thursday, the decision was made to keep Tsao around a little longer.
In fact, Roberts said Friday that the 13-man pitching staff and short bench would probably stay that way through the series in San Diego and a three-game homestand against the Cincinnati Reds.
