LOS ANGELES -- An unexpected face showed up in the Dodgers' clubhouse this afternoon.
Hard-throwing right-hander Josh Ravin has been added to the roster with setup man Joe Blanton placed on the bereavement list. Blanton is expected to rejoin the Dodgers on Friday, according to Dave Roberts.
Ravin, 28, has pitched just nine innings this season due to a pair of physical setbacks -- a spring illness that caused him to lose 20 pounds and a car accident during which he broke his left arm -- and an 80-game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance.
