Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy is not in Friday’s lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies. Instead, the Dodgers have penciled in Miguel Rojas as the team’s starting third baseman.
The L.A. lineup will face left-hander Jesus Luzardo on the mound tonight, which could be the reason for Muncy’s absence. Additionally, with Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts getting most of the starts at shortstop, this gives Rojas a chance to gets some at-bats Friday.
The infield looks fairly different for the Dodgers’ road series in Philadelphia. With Freddie Freeman on the 10-day injured list, utility man Kiké Hernández will be playing at first.
