TORONTO -- When the Dodgers started this interleague trip, Yasiel Puig's batting average had dipped to .239.
Back-to-back two-hit games in Tampa Bay buoyed it a little. But Puig hasn't had a hit north of the border and his average is now down to .236 and Dodgers manager Dave Roberts gave him the day off Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays, once again "to clear his head."
Since getting off to a good start in the first two weeks of the season, Puig's offensive production has been in a freefall. Since April 15, he is 11 for 73 (.
