With the Dodgers needing a starting pitcher Friday in the absence of Walker Buehler, who was placed on the injured list with hip inflammation Wednesday, the team went with the obvious choice.
Rookie Landon Knack, who’s 1-1 with a 2.61 earned-run average through his first four career starts this season, will get the assignment against the Angels.
Knack will be called up from Triple-A and join the team in Los Angeles, Dave Roberts told reporters Thursday in Denver, Colorado.
