The Los Angeles Dodgers have had to lean on a couple of young starters with injured pitchers Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Walker Buehler, and Clayton Kershaw all weeks away from potential return.
Landon Knack and Gavin Stone have both made the most of the opportunities given to them.
Knack gave the Dodgers 4.2 innings of one-run baseball on Friday night at Oracle Park against the San Francisco Giants. He surrendered five hits, struck out seven, and walked none to lower his ERA to 2.08 in 30.1 innings over six starts this season. The Giants ended up winning 4-3.
“I’m continuing to keep the same mindset,” Knack said.
