The Dodgers got out to a big lead early on Thursday night. But things unraveled very quickly, and the Giants took the lead late. That left Los Angeles to mount another comeback win, something they’ve made a habit out of over the last few weeks.
But one of the biggest hits of the game came in the 8th inning for the Dodgers. Trailing a run, Trayce Thompson laced a triple into left field to score Gavin Lux. That big hit also came with 2 outs and set the stage for Los Angeles to take the lead.
It was Thompson’s second extra-base hit of the game after he drove in a run on a double earlier in the contest.
