The Dodgers made a slew of roster transactions on Saturday that included two promotions, an option, and an injury. Right-handed pitcher Michael Grove and veteran outfielder Kevin Pillar were promoted from Triple-A. Pitcher Ryan Pepiot was sent back to Triple-A after making the third start of his Dodgers career on Friday against Arizona and two-time All-Star Max Muncy was placed on the injured list with left elbow inflammation.
For the 33-year-old Pillar, it’s a dream come true to put on the uniform of the team that he grew up watching. Pillar, who attended Chaminade in West Hills and played his college ball at CSU-Dominguez Hills in Carson, took to Twitter to celebrate the opportunity to play for his hometown team.
