Dodgers' Kenley Jansen shrugs off bad memories at Coors Field

DENVER – Kenley Jansen isn’t the only pitcher with bad memories of his time spent at Coors Field. But his have nothing to do with his ERA.

In August 2012, the Dodgers closer had to be hospitalized after an episode of atrial fibrillation following a game against the Colorado Rockies. That was the second time an irregular heartbeat forced Jansen to the sidelines during the season – but the most frightening.

“Man – that was scary,” Jansen recalled. “They had to shock me (to get his heart back into rhythm). They had to put a needle in my neck for the IV.
