It’s been a long road for Dodgers’ left-hander Julio Urias. The 23-year-old flamethrower out of Culiacan has experienced major shoulder surgeries, innings limits, and off the field trouble over the course of the past three years. And finally, the kid is ready to compete for a spot in the starting rotation.
Alanna Rizzo got the chance to interview Urias on Friday with the assistance of an interpreter, and he is very excited about what is ahead. When asked what it was like to start the year without any innings limits anticipated, he was elated.
I’m motivated.
