Dodgers' Josh Ravin reflects on long journey to the major leagues

On Tuesday, Dodgers right-hander Josh Ravin became the seventh pitcher in major-league history to win a game in his first appearance while throwing five pitches or fewer. The others:

1. Jake Petricka, Chicago White Sox, Aug. 22, 2013

2. Alberto Castillo, Baltimore Orioles, April 28, 2008

DENVER >> Five pitches.

That’s all it took for Josh Ravin to fulfill so many dreams Tuesday night: pitching for the team he grew up cheering, recording an out, recording his first major league win. It was a lot to take in at once.

Wednesday, Ravin was asked if reality had sunk in yet.
