Dodgers fans know that any sort of Jackie Robinson memorabilia is going to be worth a lot of money. As it should be. With Jackie being the man who broke MLB’s color barrier, it’s understandable that collectors would want to be a part of history.
So when a bat used by Jackie sold for over a million dollars this week, it came as no surprise. The Dodgers infielder played in the 1949 All-Star Game at Ebbets Field. He got 4 at-bats and collected 1 hit, a double off of Mel Parnell.
That bat from the game just sold at auction for $1.
