Things might be starting to come together for your world champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The club has won two games in a row and is putting together markedly better games on all sides of the ball. Still, there are some pieces missing that will eventually bolster the roster even more as we head toward the dog days of summer.
One key piece is MVP outfielder Cody Bellinger. The slugger suffered a hairline fracture in his left tibia after colliding with A’s pitcher Reymin Guduan in the fifth game of the season. For the last month and a half it’s been a lot of rest and heal up for Belli, but now he’s showing that he’s close to making his return to the active roster.
