Dodgers All-Star RHP Tony Gonsolin has been out for three weeks now with a sprained ankle he suffered following a drill in spring training. The Cat Man has struggled to recover from the fluke injury, and is going to be sidelined for the start of the season.
Last week, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Gonsolin would miss “a few weeks” to start the season, but on Monday, he provided even more clarity on the recovery timeline.
Roberts said the right-hander threw 20-25 pitches and that “he was still a ways away” from returning.
