Dodgers reliever Tyler Cyr is on the road to return. The right-hander briefly appeared with the club back in May before landing on the 15-day injured list with a shoulder impingement. He was later transferred to the 60-day IL when the club needed to make use of his roster spot for the return of Alex Vesia.
Not much has been heard about Cyr since then. On Saturday, that changed.
According to his player page on mlb.com, the reliever is beginning a rehab assignment with the Arizona Complex League Dodgers today where he’s expected to pitch an inning for the rookie-level team.
