Dodgers Injury News: Reliever Tommy Kahnle’s Return Does Not Sound Likely

On Saturday in Colorado, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts had a bulk update on several injured players. Among those mentioned was right-handed reliever Tommy Kahnle. Unfortunately, the update wasn’t promising.

Doc revealed that Kahnle had still not progressed to the point of throwing bullpen sessions and, with the calendar turning to August on Monday, that may mean he’s running out of time this season.

Kahnle inked a two-year deal in the 2020-2021 offseason following August 2020 Tommy John surgery. The hope was that he could return in 2022 and be a weapon out of the bullpen for LA.
