The Dodgers got some less than ideal news on Friday with a couple updates from the injured list. A pair of rehabbing relievers — Daniel Hudson and Jimmy Nelson — won’t be joining the team any time soon.
Dave Roberts revealed to reporters that Nelson had been shut down indefinitely after experiencing a setback in his throwing program. The oft-injured right-hander has missed most of the last two seasons and counting while recovering from 2021 Tommy John surgery. He began a minor league rehab assignment over two weeks ago and made one appearance for the Triple-A club before reportedly returning to Camelback Ranch where he’s been since.
