The Los Angeles Dodgers took a lead in the first inning on Saturday and never relinquished it in a 6-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants, but they lost AJ Pollock early due to a Grade 2 right hamstring strain.
Pollock hit a two-out RBI double in the first inning, but then was caught taking too aggressive of a lead off second base and thrown out in a rundown. He slid awkwardly into third base and immediately grabbed at his right hamstring area before limping off the field.
“I don’t want to speculate,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts initially said when asked for a prognosis and timetable with Pollock.
