GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Dodgers had to have their doubts about Hyun-Jin Ryu coming into the spring.
They might still have some. But the Korean left-hander will be in their starting rotation to start the season for the first time since 2014.
“Ryu has thrown the ball well, built up enough. We feel confident going forward that he’ll be one of our five (starting pitchers),” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after Ryu threw 77 pitches in five innings against the Chicago White Sox.
“He’s given us no reason not to be. We feel a healthy Hyun-Jin is a good thing.
