PHILADELPHIA -- After a four-homer barrage early, the Dodgers manufactured two runs in the ninth inning Monday night for a wild 7-6 win over the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park, overcoming a pair of home runs from Maikel Franco.
With the game tied at 5, one out, the bases loaded and Yasmani Grandal batting in the ninth, Phillies reliever Seranthony Dominguez's 2-1 fastball went off the glove of catcher Jorge Alfaro to the backstop and pinch-hitter Alex Verdugo scored from third without a throw. Matt Kemp extended the lead with an RBI single that proved decisive.
