The Los Angeles Dodgers had a night to remember at Dodger Stadium on Monday, tallying 21 hits and 17 runs en route to a blowout victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Matt Kemp played a big part in the victory, going 5-for-5 with a home run, while driving in four runs. The homer was a three-run shot in the sixth inning to cap off the Dodgers’ special night.
After going through a bit of a slump in recent weeks, Kemp has recorded a hit in each of his last eight at-bats dating back to Sunday’s win over the Colorado Rockies.
