The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves, 8-1, on Tuesday, taking the series ahead of Wednesday’s finale.
The story of the game was rookie right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller, who absolutely shoved in his MLB debut.
Miller went five innings, allowing just four hits, one run and one walk while striking out five. He threw six pitches at 100 mph or more, and accumulated 10 swings-and-misses. He did this against a vaunted Braves lineup on the road.
The Highlights
The Dodgers got to Cy Young candidate Spencer Strider early, as Mookie Betts hit a leadoff double and Will Smith brought him home on an RBI single.
