Rain brought an early finish but not before the Los Angeles Dodgers came up with timely hitting in five-inning victory over the Washington Nationals that extended their winning streak to six games.
Before delivering for the Dodgers with his bat, AJ Pollock made a web gem of a catch at the warning track in left-center field. Upon seeing the catch, Tony Gonsolin held up his arms in triumph on the pitcher’s mound.
Pollock’s fun resumed in the fifth inning, when he hit a game-tying solo shot to left field off Nationals starter Patrick Corbin. The homer was Pollock’s sixth of the season.
