Dodgers get Corey Seager back for Freeway Series finale

LOS ANGELES -- The lack of carriage of the Dodgers’ television network in Southern California couldn’t keep Corey Seager from watching his teammates play baseball on television this spring.

Only Seager didn’t want to be watching the games on TV. Saturday, he finally got a chance to play when Dave Roberts penciled the reigning National League Rookie of the Year onto a lineup card for the first time since March 3.

“It’s nice to get back out there with the guys,” Seager said prior to the Freeway Series finale at Dodger Stadium.

Seager suffered an oblique injury early in spring training and didn’t play for weeks out of an abundance of caution.
