In the past few days, the Dodgers have made various front office moves. First, the Dodgers obliterate their international scouting department. This move surprised me. The team has signed international players at an enormous rate recently. Does that mean, all of a sudden, Friedman doesn't believe in the players they have signed? What gives?
Next, they announced that former major league manager Ron Roenicke was taking over as third base coach in place of Lorenzo Bundy (although Bundy is still with the team as the outfield coordinator). Overall, this feels like a power play in some sense.
