The Athletics have poached a Dodgers free agent outfielder. Drew Avans, who has spent his entire career in the Dodgers organization, has signed a minor league deal with the Athletics, per the MLB.com transaction log.
Avans was drafted by the Dodgers in the 33rd round of the 2018 MLB Draft. He worked his way up through the minor leagues, and got to Triple-A in 2021, where he spent the last four seasons.
