Dodgers legend Cole Hamels isn’t planning on retiring just yet. Of course, I use legend in jest. For those who don’t recall, LA inked Hamels to a 1-year, $1 million deal this past August in the hopes that the former MLB workhorse could provide some key innings down the stretch for a beleaguered starting rotation. Unfortunately, he injured his shoulder while building up for his return and ultimately never suited up for the Dodgers.
Now he’s back as a free agent and, according to MLB reporter Jon Morosi, underwent shoulder surgery. Moreover, he’s not planning on exchanging his cleats for golf shoes just yet.
