The regular season of the Arizona Fall League ended on Thursday for the Glendale Desert Dogs and the eight Dodgers minor leaguers on the team. Glendale didn’t make Saturday’s championship game, won by the Peoria Javelinas over the Salt River Rafters.
Keibert Ruiz and Jordan Sheffield were named to the AFL Fall Stars Game in early November, both playing well in the game. Ruiz went 1-for-1 with an RBI single and a walk while Sheffield recorded two outs with one strikeout.
One of the top catching prospects in baseball, Ruiz was the most high-profile to represent the Dodgers in the AFL this year.
