When Tyler Glasnow was lifted from Saturday’s game against the San Francisco Giants after the third inning, the bullpen for the Los Angeles Dodgers had to step up to help their teammate who just didn’t have his best stuff.
Glasnow allowed five runs on seven hits and left the rest of the game for the relievers.
The bullpen was up to the task and worked two innings of overtime to seal a 14-7 win for the Dodgers. Eight pitchers combined to limit the Giants to one earned run over the final eight innings. Yohan Ramírez, Alex Vesia, Michael Petersen, Anthony Banda, Blake Treinen, and Evan Phillips got the Dodgers through the ninth and turned to Daniel Hudson in the 10th.
