If you’ve been watching the World Baseball Classic, you’ve seen former Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner become somewhat of an American hero. After his second inning solo home run in the final against Japan on Tuesday, Turner now has an incredible five home runs and 11 RBIs in the six-plus WBC games. One of those home runs was a go-ahead grand slam in the quarterfinal round that ultimately led USA to victory over Venezuela and into the semifinal round.
It has to be a little weird for Dodger fans who are rooting for USA to be watching Turner dominate.
