The MLB world was dealt devastating injury news late Wednesday night when Angels general manager Perry Minasian announced that two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani had a torn UCL that would end his season as a pitcher.
It’s unclear how severe the injury is, but the Angels will put Ohtani through tons of testing before deciding the next steps for their superstar.
If the injury is severe, he could be looking at his second Tommy John Surgery, and likely won’t pitch again until 2025 (or at all if he decides to remove that part of his game).
