The Dodgers placed RHP Noah Syndergaard on the 15-day injured list on Thursday with a blister on his right index finger. Syndergaard has been dealing with the blister all year long, and the Dodgers felt like it was finally time to give him a reset on the IL.
Obviously the blister was just a part of the problem, but the overarching issue was Syndergaard has just been unable to pitch at an even slightly decent level.
Through 12 starts, he was 1-4 with a 7.16 ERA, and the Dodgers were 4-8 in games he started.
