If you have been a Dodgers fan for 20 years or so, you know that the early 2000s were a wild time to be at the stadium. You also knew that when Guns N’ Roses’ Welcome to the Jungle blared over the sound system at Chavez Ravine, the game was pretty much over.
That signaled that Eric Gagné was entering the game to close it out for the Dodgers, and he was not giving up the lead. Gagné established himself as one of the most dominant closers in the history of the game from 2002 to 2004.
