After another disappointing loss and rough outing by Hyun-Jin Ryu last night, the Dodgers look to rebound in the second game of their four-game series in Arizona. The magic number is still at nine, and they now sit behind both the Yankees and Astros for the best winning percentage in baseball.
Tony Gonsolin will make his fifth start and sixth appearance overall tonight. He’s been excellent in August, allowing nine hits and two runs in 15 innings against three potential playoff teams (St. Louis, Atlanta and the Yankees). Gonsolin has only struck out four batters over his last two games, but has pitched to contact effectively.
