Jackie Robinson Day is this Friday. All across Major League Baseball, players will were the number 42 wearing the Dodgers’ blue color. It’s a very exciting time, especially for Dodgers fans out in Los Angeles. But on the 75th anniversary of Jackie breaking the color barrier in MLB, this year should be very special.
According to Bob Nightengale, David Price is among the players donating his salary on Jackie Robinson Day. The Dodgers hurler appears to be doing it through the Player’s Alliance, an organization that he has long been in support of.
Proceeds from Friday night’s game will go towards serving inner-city and rural baseball teams.
