After Wednesday’s disappointing game five loss, several Dodgers players such as Walker Buehler and Clayton Kershaw talked about how this was likely the last game for several of the veterans on the 2019 Dodger club. One of those veterans is David Freese who announced his retirement from Major League Baseball via twitter.
While he will forever be remembered for his World Series heroics with the St. Louis Cardinals, David Freese brought his postseason reputation to Los Angeles for two Octobers. In eighteen games he hit two home runs and posted an OPS over 1.000 in both postseasons.
