Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star infielder Max Muncy is nowhere close to a return to the big league diamond.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts spoke to Fabian Ardaya of the Athletic and said Muncy’s progress is “stagnant.”
Roberts added that Muncy is still experiencing some discomfort, but tests have come back clean. He remains without a clear timetable for returning.
Muncy last played on May 15 against the San Francisco Giants. Muncy’s oblique injury has been tough to recover from, and when it is time for a return, he will likely need a lengthy rehab assignment before being activated from the injured list.
