Dodgers: Dave Roberts Disagrees With Advanced Stats on Mookie Betts

The 2022 season has not started off nearly we well as Mookie Betts had hoped. The Dodgers outfielder has not hit the ball well and often looks uncomfortable in the batter’s box. He is hitting just .178 and has struck out in over 23 percent of his plate appearances.

That strikeout percentage is a HUGE jump up from his career average of 13.3 percent. But Mookie remains at the top of the Dodgers lineup, batting ahead of Freddie Freeman and Trea Turner. His .288 on-base percentage is very much making things difficult for the guys behind him.

But Dave Roberts doesn’t necessarily agree with all of the advanced stats on Mookie right now.
