Dodgers Cut Two Guys From Major League Roster, More to Come

The Dodgers continue to cut down their Spring Training roster today. After sending Josiah Gray and Edwin Uceta to minor league camp this week, they sent two more pitchers today. Right-handed pitcher Mitch White and lefty Victor Gonzalez were optioned.

The move is not a surprise by any means. The Dodgers have plenty of guys competing for the Opening Day roster that need to get more innings in, and these two guys do not. White and Gonzalez were never really considered as options to start the season with the big league club.

Mitch White is ranked as the Dodgers’ number eleven overall prospect, and their fifth-best pitching prospect.
