The Los Angeles Dodgers’ woes this season can be limited to one simple word: injuries. They have affected countless players, and now it’s within the realm of possibility that Mookie Betts will be the latest to fall victim to the injured list.
After Betts skipped the 2021 MLB All-Star Game to rest his body for the second half of the season, there was hope he would return to MVP form. However, the 28-year-old has now been beset by right hip irritation, which is at the worst it has been all season.
Betts has been out of the Dodgers’ lineup since exiting last Saturday’s game early, and whether he returns in the near future is highly questionable.
