Dodgers owners have a long history of trying to expand their horizons. Especially lately. That was proven when Todd Boehly won the bid to purchase the historic Chelsea Football Team. And now, we have another co-owner looking to purchase a big team.
Dodgers co-owner Alan Smolinksky is teaming up with Nike Co-founder Phil Knight to bid on the Portland Trailblazers. That bid is north of $2 billion for a franchise that has very much struggled to decide what they want to do over the last few years.
But the fact that Nike is involved means that the team will likely want to stick around Portland.
