If you’re looking for Clayton Kershaw in the Dodgers dugout in Philly this weekend, you won’t be spotting him. The ace has gone home to Texas for the weekend following a setback with his injured lower back/SI joint.
Kershaw was initially supposed to throw a mound session at Dodger Stadium earlier this week but that was scrapped and his timetable was left open-ended by manager Dave Roberts. Speaking with MLB Network Radio on Friday, Roberts only offered that the veteran hurler was “a couple weeks away” from throwing a bullpen session.
In 5 starts this season, Clayton was among the steadiest in the LA rotation.
