Clayton Kershaw started for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday against the El Paso Chihuahas. In his first minor league rehab game with the Dodgers’ Pacific Coast League affiliate since 2021, Kershaw looked dominant. He threw three innings, allowing zero runs, zero hits, one walk, and struck out five batters.
After being limited to 24 starts last year with an injury, the 36-year-old left-hander underwent surgery on the glenohumeral ligaments in his left shoulder in Nov. 2023. Kershaw vowed to return after undergoing the procedure, though his timeline was unclear.
Kershaw made one minor league rehab start with advanced Class-A Rancho Cucamonga in June, which put him on track to return just after the All-Star break next week.
