LOS ANGELES -- The status of their manager remains foggy a week after the Dodgers were eliminated from the playoffs by the New York Mets. But that hasn't stopped the front office from pursuing its favorite pastime -- tinkering at the margins of the roster.
The Dodges claimed right-hander Lisalverto Bonilla on waivers from the Texas Rangers Wednesday. Bonilla, 25, underwent Tommy John surgery last April and missed the entire 2015 season.
Originally signed out of the Dominican Republic by the Philadelphia Phillies, Bonilla was picked for the 2012 All-Star Futures Game and then was traded along with former Dodgers reliever Josh Lindblom to the Rangers for Michael Young in December 2012.
